Staff DVT Engineer
Description
Enphase Energy is a global energy technology company and leading provider of solar, battery, and electric vehicle charging products. Founded in 2006, Enphase transformed the solar industry with our revolutionary microinverter technology, which turns sunlight into a safe, reliable, resilient, and scalable source of energy to power our lives. Today, the Enphase Energy System helps people make, use, save, and sell their own power. Enphase is also one of the fastest growing and innovative clean energy companies in the world, with approximately 68 million products installed across more than 145 countries.
We are building teams that are designing, developing, and manufacturing next-generation energy technologies and our work environment is fast-paced, fun and full of exciting new projects.
If you are passionate about advancing a more sustainable future, this is the perfect time to join Enphase!
About the role
- Own, define, architect, implement and execute the automation of either FW DVT or System DVT using Python and other scripts and languages.
- Define and document test strategy, test plans and test architecture.
- Provide technical leadership to junior engineers on automating and executing DVT.
- Execute functional, performance and compliance DVT of FW and SYS DVT manually as required.
- Work with FW, HW and System Engineering teams to gather detailed requirements and plan test strategy and test plan ahead of test cycles.
- Understand consumer behaviors and design engineering requirements and conduct DVT for both ends of the DVT spectrum.
- Collaborate with HW, FW and other teams to help reproduce and debug issues without getting biased with design details but exhibit independence in DVT.
- Use productivity tools like JAMA for creating and maintaining test cases and test runs linked with requirements; report issues through JIRA and track them to closure.
- Follow the process as required for the given test cycle and make sure KPIs like test execution rate and defect leakages are met.
- Device test coverage to ensure Enphase products qualify only after meeting quality, performance, safety and reliability benchmarking.
- Be a DVT engineer who protects Enphase customer interests by living in 'customer's shoes'.
- Develop test automation system to enable FW/System testing automatically and continuously improve test execution rate by increasing automation and reducing manual tests.
